About Me

I was born in Cordele, Georgia and grew up in both Cordele and Fort Myers, Florida. I spent my professional life with my husband, Dale, in New Rochelle, New York (Westchester County). I had a long career with IBM Corporation and was a dedicated Deacon at Grace Baptist Church, Mount Vernon, New York. I now reside in Indialantic, Florida and Cordele, Georgia.

While at IBM, I gained worldwide management and travel experience (leading a worldwide team which spanned across the U.S., France, Germany, United Kingdom, and Asia). Since retiring, I have continued to travel internationally throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, and the South Seas. I reflect my travel and interaction with various cultures into my works of art.

My artist palette is multi-media, focusing on watercolor, oils, and mixed media works. I am the founder of “Reflections by Henrimae,” offering elegant and unique products that incorporate my designs and creations of art. Art and products of “Reflections by Henrimae” are sold in several Art Galleries and Interior Design Shops in New York; Florida and Georgia.

I have studied with several very well-known artists: Professor Stan Lapper at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, traditional art in Florence, Italy with Professor Andrew Lattimore and at the Westchester Art Center in White Plains, New York, and contemporary art at the Brevard Art Center and Museum in Melbourne, Florida with world famous Dutch Artist, Frits Van Eeden.

I attended Albany State University in Albany, Georgia, hold a BS from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York and a certificate in Graduate Business Management from Pace University in New York. Most recently, I was awarded acceptance into the Florida Artist Group, Inc. (FLAG), a statewide organization comprised of a diverse group of accomplished visual artists.

Have you ever heard love at first sight? That’s what it was when I saw the painting titled “Walking by Faith” by Henrimae Bell on the Indigo Life magazine. When I first inquired about it Henrimae said it was not for sale. It has significant meaning to her.
After she told me the story of what inspired her to paint it, made me want it even more. I did not give up inquiring about it. After several months, she gave in and said because of her love for me, she knew how I appreciated it and it would be loved in my home.
Every day I have the pleasure of looking up on the painting and being reminded of God’s love and faithfulness. I am inspired daily.
